Brittany brings technical experience in the power industry and a focus on meeting client needs to her leadership role at SR. She completed her undergraduate work at the University South Carolina, earning a BS in Electrical Engineering. Brittany has over 4 years experience across a broad spectrum of the power industry including distribution, substation, and transmission line design. She brings a passion to see clients succeed by understanding their engineering needs and providing quality engineering services to meet those needs. Outside of work, Brittany enjoys spending quality time with friends and family, serving at her local church, and keeping up with her two boys.

Alison provides a superior client experience through her organizational and communications skills.  She is responsible for managing SR’s day-to-day operations, including marketing, human resources, and compliance.  Alison earned her undergraduate degree in English Writing from Lee University and a Master’s in Speech, Language, and Learning from Northwestern University. She has worked as a Speech Language Pathologist for over 5 years in a variety of clinical settings. When not working, Alison enjoys running, making pottery, and spending time with her family.

Sam is continuing in his family’s rich history of engineers. His qualifications include a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of South Carolina, as well as South Carolina and Pennsylvania PE Licenses. Sam has over 9 years of experience working in transmission line design. His expertise is primarily in constructability, PLS-CADD modeling, and drawing package reviews. Outside of work, Sam enjoys playing sports, good conversations with friends, and spending time with his family.

Following in his father’s footsteps, Wes began his engineering journey in 2009 interning in Kentucky Utilities’s transmission line group. He earned both a BS in civil engineering and an MBA from the University of Kentucky, and has since earned his PE license. Wes has provided engineering solutions for over 40 clients in his 10 years of experience in transmission line design. His engineering expertise, business background, and leadership skills allow him to ensure SR provides high quality consulting services. When not honing his skills as an engineer, Wes enjoys working on home improvement projects, playing Xbox with his family, and playing sports.

A well trained designer, Jerrod received a BA in architecture from the University of Kentucky’s College of Design. Jerrod gained design, construction, and drafting experience through traditional drafting and design, custom carpentry, furniture building, and working for graphic design firms prior to transitioning to the engineering field. Jerrod’s responsibilities at SR include drafting package creation, Civil3D model building, and 3D modeling and visualizations. After hours, Jerrod enjoys finding new musical artists, playing board games, and reading through art books.

Doug received his degree in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Ohio State University's College of Engineering. After graduating, he trained under Wes and Sam for three years doing a wide range of engineering work. His skills include PLS-CADD modeling, MFAD design, as well as developing custom tools to increase efficiency while reducing errors. Outside of work, Doug enjoys hiking, fishing, hunting, and playing video games with his friends. 

Nathan earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kentucky’s College of Engineering. Upon graduating, he worked in automotive manufacturing for several years, adapting to the challenging, dynamic nature of the industry. While relatively new to transmission line design, Nathan has learned quickly, adjusting well to his new role. When Nathan is not working, he enjoys improving his skills as a photographer, working on his project cars, traveling to Japan, and spending time with friends.

Mike received his BS in Civil Engineering from Rowan University and has his Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certificate. He has over 3 years of transmission line experience and has provided engineering support for over 7 clients. Mike has a strong skillset in PLS-CADD modeling, PLS-POLE design, MFAD foundation design, AutoCAD, BOM generation, fiber analysis, and drawing reviews. After hours, he enjoys running, weightlifting, playing sports, hanging out with friends, and playing video games on his PC and PlayStation.

Mike has 15 years of experience working with a variety of clients. His previous experience primarily consisted of protection and controls design for substation projects, and his CAD skills include AutoCAD and MicroStation. Mike has enjoyed switching to transmission line design and has quickly become an asset to the team. Outside of work, Mike enjoys hiking in the mountains of North Carolina and playing golf.

Adrian received a BA in architecture from the University of Kentucky’s College of Design. Before switching to the engineering field, Adrian had 8 years of experience in architectural design, fabrication and marketing. He excels at drafting construction documents, custom carpentry, furniture building, graphic design, architectural marketing, and CNC machining. Adrian’s responsibilities at SR include drafting package creation, 3D modeling, and visualizations. Outside of work Adrian enjoys traveling, drawing, gaming, keeping good company, and working on his project car.

Arkel received his degree in Civil Engineering from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University’s College of Engineering. He has nearly 10 years of transmission line experience with various consultants and utilities, leading projects from 69kV to 345kV. Arkel’s skills include PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, construction methodologies, vendor drawing reviews, and siting. In his free time, Arkel enjoys playing basketball, traveling, hiking outdoors, and spending time with his son.

Jacob, a central Kentucky native and Army National Guard veteran, received his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Kentucky. Upon graduating, he worked in the automotive manufacturing industry as a Production Engineer, excelling in project management, 3D modeling, and maintenance and troubleshooting machines. Although he is new to transmission line design and the power industry, his passion for learning and attention to detail allows him to adapt quickly and work with the SR team. Outside of work, he is an avid motorsports enthusiast, racing karts and working on cars. He is also a musician who enjoys traveling, gaming, and spending time with his friends and family.

Don has over thirty-five years of experience in the management of transmission system engineering and construction projects and programs, which affords him the ability and expertise to manage large, complex projects and programs. Don’s experience in project management, engineering, system operations, and construction enables him to provide both timely and cost-efficient results regarding design or construction opportunities. Don has senior management experience in all phases of transmission utility work on both the asset owner and service provider side. Don enjoys working on projects around the house, golfing, and fellowship with family and friends. 

Sheri brings her 31 years of legal and administrative experience to our team. Sheri received her Paralegal Degree from Delaware County Community College and a Business Degree from Immaculata University and worked as a paralegal for 31 years for the county of Delaware. Sheri retired from the county and joined our team in 2021 as the Accounting and Administrative Manager. Sheri enjoys spending time with her growing family that includes six grandchildren.

Alan has over forty years of transmission line engineering experience. He graduated with a BS degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky in 1981 and earned his professional engineering license in 1986. Prior to retirement in April of 2022, Alan’s previous career was spent working exclusively on the design and engineering related to transmission line projects. This included new lines, relocations, rebuilds, and upgrades on voltages that varied between 69kV and 500kV. Alan enjoys reading, beach vacations, and spending time with his family.
